The 8th Hungarian Plasma Physics and Fusion Technology Workshop has been successfully organized

The 8th Hungarian Plasma Physics and Fusion Technology Workshop (HPPW) was organised by the Wigner Research Centre for Physics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

This year the workshop was held in Esztergom where the scientists and engineers could discuss their last 2 years’ work and achievements in details.

An international advisory Panel was invited to review and advice on the programme of the Hungarian research unit. The Panel also visited the Plasma Physics Department before the official opening of the workshop.

HPPW’s main aim is to provide a forum for exchanging information and ideas between Hungarian plasma physicists, engineers and the international experts working in various fields. To promote discussions, most of the results were discussed in oral presentations.

The official language of the workshop was English. However, talks and discussions in the engineering section was given in Hungarian.
