Our new diagnostics shipped to MAST-Upgrade tokamak
A turbulence imaging 2D diagnostics system has been installed on MAST at 2010. This diagnostic was operating very successfully in measurement campaigns in 2011 and 2013. The experiment was shut down for a major upgrade in 2013 and is expected to be operational at the end of 2017. The machine was also renamed to MAST-U. The is also being upgraded during the shutdown. The optics was redesigned and being manufactured. A larger detector will provide more detailed information and also new mechanics is being manufactured. The diagnostics is being delivered and installed this week in Culham, which will do the first measurements in late 2017.
